Box Office Collections: Bobby Deol REACTS to ‘Animal’ being called out for ‘toxic masculinity’; says box office collections says people are loving it

Bobby Deol, who is basking on the super success of his latest film, ‘Animal‘, recently opened up about the film being criticised for being high on violence and featuring toxic masculinity.
In conversation with Hindustan Times, Bobby said that he is just an actor who wants to play characters. He is not out there promoting anything. he does roles that challenge him.According to him, stories are influenced by what’s happening in our society. He feels that people don’t want to talk about those things because they want to believe that doesn’t exist. For him, he is just an actor trying to entertain andbox office collections itself says it that people are loving it.

Although he has very less screen time in the film, his role and performance has garnered immense love and appreciation from the audience and the critics alike. Talking about the same, Bobby said that he cannot understand how to process this. According to him, he has been waiting for that moment when he would get recognition as an actor and believes that this was his moment. He also thanked director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for changing his life.

Spilling some beans about how he bagged the role, he told the news portal that he was once sitting in his house and got a message from Sandeep. He wasn’t sure it was him, so he asked his manager to check. When he called Vanga, he wanted to meet Bobby, and he then showed him a picture of him from his cricket league days, when he wasn’t working at all. He couldn’t believe that an out of job picture got him work. Bobby added that he only had to shoot for 15 days, and he was mute on top of that!

‘Animal’ also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri and others. The film has been making record-breaking collections at the box office.
