The makers released the film on 25th January to cash in on the Republic Day weekend, and also in the hope that the film will repeat the success of Pathaan, which also released on the same date a year ago. The film opened to a moderate collection of Rs 22.5 crore at the box office, and saw a major spike on Republic day to collect Rs 39.5 crore. It saw a dip on Saturday to collect 27.5 crore and spiked again to reach Rs 29 crore on Sunday. However, Monday onwards, the film fell flat and collected Rs 8 crore, Rs 7.5, Rs 6.6 and Rs 6 crore on the four weekdays respectively.
However, the actioner saw a major rise during the second weekend as it collected Rs 5.75 crore on Friday, Rs 10.5 crore on Saturday, and Rs 12.5 crore on Sunday. However, the hope was short-lived as the moment the weekend was over, the film fell again to collect about Rs 12.25 over the next four days, thus taking the second week total to just Rs 41 crore. The film in one week fell by 72 % over its first week.
In its third week, the film is currently facing competition from Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which released on Friday. Though the film has got mixed reviews from the critics, the fans have till now enjoyed the film and it is carrying positive word of mouth.
