Lisa, will now be the third member of BLACKPINK to venture into acting, after Jennie, who recently starred in ‘The Idol’ and Jisoo, who played the leading lady’s role in ‘Snowdrop’.
Following months of speculation around the singer’s acting break, HBO confirmed in a post that Lisa, who will be credited under her full name Lalisa Manobal, joins Scott Glenn, and Julian Kostov as the new cast members for Season 3.
“The trip of a lifetime awaits,” read the post’s.
Details regarding Lisa’s role in the show, have not yet been disclosed, however, considering her global superstar status, it is safe to say that it could be a prominent role. Lisa is also one of the biggest celebrities of Thai origin. Her inclusion in the series that will be set in Thailand, only adds intrigue to the show.
Reacting to the news of Lisa’s casting, BLINKs took to the comments section to express their shock and excitement saying, “LISA IN HER ACTRESS ERA WAS NOT IN MY CARDS FOR 2024!”

As per Deadline’s November report, the third season is set to revolve around characters that include a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a pair of mothers—one of whom is a country club wife—along with a misfit and a yogi.
Lisa joins a long list of actors that includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.
Production for ‘The White Lotus’ season 3 is slated to this month, with filming set to take place across Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand.
