Baeksang Awards is one of the most prestigious award shows in South Korea, recognizing excellence in film, television, and theatre, through a strict screening. The event was conducted by a total of 60 professional evaluators, including judges in the industry and a group of experts.
This year, the current television category has been rebranded as “Broadcasting” to better represent changing content consumption patterns. This update corresponds with the move away from conventional cable and terrestrial TV channels towards a wider variety of platforms, such as websites, mobile streaming services.
