Hrithik Roshan’s Early Life
Hrithik Roshan was born on 10 January 1974 in Bombay, Maharashtra, into the Roshan Family, prominent in Hindi cinema. He started his acting career at his early age of just 6, made his entry into Bollywood as a child artist in a dance sequence of the 1980s film Aasha.
With his first earnings of Rs 100, which he got from shaking a leg next ot Jeetendra in the Movie Aasha, he purchased 10 Hot Wheels Cars, which trend at that time. Before his film debut, he took bodybuilding classes from Salman Khan.
After this, he made his acting debut in the film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000), for which he received several awards. Performances in the 2000 terrorism drama Fiza and the 2001 ensemble family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham consolidated his reputation in the Bollywood industry.
He also appeared in stage performances and made his television debut in 2011 with the dance reality show, Just Dance. Serving as a judge in the show, he became the highest-paid film star on indian television at that time.

Controversies
- In 2016, Hrithik filed a lawsuit against Krrish-3 co-star Kangana Ranaut for cyber stalking and harassment. But after denying the charges, Kangana also filed a counter-charge claiming that his lawsuit was an attempt to cover an affair.
- Later in December 2020, he was involved in a controversy when Nepalese newspaper Jamim Shah’s Channel Nepal accused him of stating in a Star Plus interview that he hated Nepal and its people.
- However, Hrithik denied making such comments and said, “I can name all the interviews I have given”. All the tapes were there for anyone to see anytime. I have never spoken against Nepal or Nepalese people, whom I love.
- During his alleged affair with Barbara Mori, his then-wife Sussanne left his house, but later they united, sadly, for not much longer, as in November 2014 they separated.
- A poster of Hrithik was distributed on the eve of the local government election. The poster portrayed him in a dancing pose and carried the slogan “Vote DA for all the people“. DA is the opposition Democratic Alliance in South Africa, which led to the prohibition of Hrithik’s films in South Africa.

Hrithik Roshan’s Professional Journey & Film Career
Before appearing in films, he worked with his father, Rakesh Roshan, in his films Karan Arjun & Koyla. He used to do jobs on the sets, like serving tea to actors and even cleaning or sweeping the floors.
Once, his father, Rakesh Roshan, in an interview, talked about this and said he wanted Hrithik to live his dreams as he failed as an actor.
Rakesh also revealed that, after Hrithik completed his college, he made him travel in taxis, autos, or buses, and he didn’t allow Hrithik to travel in the family car. While Hrithik was assisting him on Karan Arjun. According to his father, Hrithik was just another assistant director on set.
At the age of 19, he suffered from Scoliosis, a spinal disc herniation, and was advised by the doctors that he would not be able to dance or act, but he struggled through his weaknesses, and the outcome in front of everyone.
In his debut, it was first expected that Kareena Kapoor would be seen opposite him, but she walked out of the film due to some misunderstanding between Hrithik’s father and Kareena’s mother.
Hrithik Roshan was initially set to make his screen debut as the lead actor opposite Preity Zinta in Shekhar Kapoor’s cancelled film, Tara Rum Pum Pum. But he instead starred in his father’s Kaho Naa Pyar Hai film opposite another debutante, Ameesha Patel.
