Hello National Film Awards 2025 readers, the Telangana Government has introduced the Gaddar Film Awards 2024 in place of replacing the name of the former Nandi Awards, which celebrate to recognize excellence in Telugu cinema.
With this, the Telangana government also announced the recipients of the inaugural Gaddar Telangana Film Awards, which is scheduled to be presented on June 14 at HITEX, Hyderabad, confirmed by Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, earlier this month.
These awards aim to honor excellence in Telugu cinema, replacing the former Nandi Awards. The Telangana CM Ravanth Reddy introduced the Gaddar Awards to recognize awards to poets, artists, and filmmakers, naming them after the legendary revolutionary balladeer Gaddar, who is celebrated as a cultural icon of Telangana.
Gaddar Telangana Film Awards (GTFA) 2024 Winners
The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards (GTFA) are named in honor of the late revolutionary balladeer Gaddar. Leading the honors this year is Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, which was awarded Best Film. Director Nag Ashwin also took home the Best Director award.
The awards were finalized by a jury committee led by veteran actress and politician Jayasudha, who submitted the final report to the government. The Second-Best Film award went to “Pottel,” while “Lucky Bhasker” was named Third Best Film.
