The 12th Delhi International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from December 8th to 12th, 2025, at the proposed venue, Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi. It is a 5-day event, in association with the Information & Broadcasting Ministry and the Government of Delhi.
The DIFF will showcase films from more than 50 countries in the Indian Showcase, World Cinema, Arab Cinema, NRI Cinema and Cinema, and Border sections.
The opening and closing events of the Delhi International Film Festival will be the spotting attraction, and will be the final year of the focus on Arab Cinema and Cinema from the North Eastern States of India.

Delhi International Film Festival 2025
The 12th Delhi International Film Festival 2025 is being organised at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi, from December 8th to 12th, 2025. It will be a 5-day event in association with the Information & Broadcasting Ministry and the Government of Delhi.
The Culture and Tourism Ministries are our Associate Partners, and Morocco, Taiwan, and Nigeria will be the country partners for this edition of the 12th Delhi International Film Festival, 2025.
The Delhi International Film Festival, working under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, represents India at international film festivals showcasing indian films.
This year, the festival will feature films from over 50 countries across sections like Indian showcase, World Cinema, Arab Cinema, NRI Cinema, and Cinema Across the Border. But the most important part of the 12th edition of the DIFF is showing films related to social issues with women’s empowerment and children.
In earlier editions, Canada, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, Russia, and Israel have been partners. Eight films from the Delhi International Film Festival later won National Awards, while four international films became official Oscar entries.
Note: A key highlight of DIFF is its inclusiveness, showcasing strong participation from all indian regional film industries, especially the vast South Indian Film industry. Legends like Mani Rathnam, Mahesh Babu, Mammooty and Sreekar Prasad have been honoured for their contribution to Indian cinema. DIFF also supports and mentors emerging film festivals in Jharkhand, Haryana, South Indian, and abroad.

Delhi International Film Festival Academy Awards 2025
This year, the DIFF Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to the renowned popular singers, such as Ms. Usha Uthup and Ramesh Sippy. A tribute to R. D. Burman is being planned, and in this regard, Ms. Asha Bhonsle and Ms. Zeenat Aman are invited to join the festival.
Sharmila Tagore, Muzzaffar Ali, Manoj Bajpayee, Kailash Kher, Jimmy Shergil, Manoj Tiwari, Rituparna Sengupta, Sanjay Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, Piyush Mishra and Tigmanshu Dhulia are expected to be SPECIAL GUESTS at the festival.

Delhi International Film Festival is one of its kind, as a festival that has not only played an important role in the promotion of Indian Cinema, Art, and Culture in Middle Asian and Arabian countries, but also in European countries.
